A place where I discuss whatever crosses my mind. It may be my kids, vacation, work, sports, headlines, or anything that strikes a chord. So pull up a chair it may get interesting
Going a new direction with this blog. I think I’ve cluttered this page up with too many gadgets. I’ve decided to simplify. I find the blogs I love to read are the simple unadorned blogs. Now I’m not straying away from being a media-rich blog because I think that a picture says a thousand words. So read on and enjoy. Leave me comments sometimes I feel like I’m talking and no one is listening.
I was leaving church a couple of weeks ago and I saw my friend BC leaving church with his wife. BC just finished up serving our country in Afghanistan. He was on the front lines and certainly in the line of fire. When I saw BC, I remember saying ‘praise God.’ I’ve been thinking about this and I had it all wrong. Here’s what I mean – even if something terrible had happened to BC I should still be saying ‘Praise God’ in the same way. See we need to praise him no matter what the circumstance because he is there and in control. He is not leaving us to the randomness of this world but using us for his purposes even though we may not understand.
It says in Philippians Chapter 4:4 to…
4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice!
That always is the key…not hard to figure out – it means always. It doesn’t say ‘Rejoice in the Lord when things are good.’ – ALWAYS. Now is that easy? Certainly not. It becomes even harder to rejoice the harder circumstances in life are. He will deliver you. Maybe not in a way you believe to good at first but as time passes the good will emerge.
My favorite part of the article….
But Elson Aca, a Donsol WWF representative, said it was butchered and its meat sauteed in coconut milk as a local delicacy, against the organisation's advice.
One thing environmentalists need to understand is that you never get between a Filipino and dinner otherwise you’ll end up on the endangered list.
Ameer Ali you have moved up the charts and I have named you ‘HERO OF THE DAY’ because your willingness to Judo flip any SOONER that gets in your way.

My co-workers can attest that most of the time I sport the Scarlet of the Huskers. There is one passion that I’ve had since I called Territorial Hall home and that is Gopher Hoops. Distance, Gangel-gate, and the Dan Monson era has done a lot to mute that passion. There were wounds left over from that era that led me to drift away from ‘the Barn.’ Since Tubby has came on board I have made more of an effort to follow blogs out of the twin cities so I can keep in touch with Gopher hoops. I have been brought back into a lather from this appearance in the tournament. Does it mean that I’m a poor fan – probably. I really don’t care at this point. I’m wearing my Gopher shirt with pride today. Coincidentally I am in the heart of Longhorn country (~150 miles from Austin, TX).
Now on to the preview. This has probably been mish-mashed a thousand different ways. I see it pretty simply.
This game will be a defensive battle. Both coaches preach a physical defensive brand of basketball. This is where I think the preview is correct. However I think it will be an ugly, scrum sort of game with a final score of….
MINNESOTA 63
TEXAS 59
I guess we will see roughly in 12 hours.
